I simply cannot go through this every time I hear/see/read something cool. I can compose, draw, and write. I just can't do it that well yet. I may never get up to that level, but that doesn't mean I can't do anything at all. Though it hardly seems worth trying.

Stapling modesty just attaches it to something else; if you have an industrial grade staple gun it attaches to nearly anything, and if you put enough staples in it your modesty starts to look metalic and shiny.

Mozart wasn't modest, but Brahms was. Look who wrote the good cello sonata, look who wrote a cappela motets when that sort of thing wasn't fashionable; hint: it wasn't Mozart. Go on, be modest. It is the recognization of our weaknesses that allows us to conquer them.
