Busy weekend. Tomorrow stick, stick, GJ's and chamber concert. Friday, Porgy & Bess. Saturday, possible meeting and Travis's play. I'm sure I'll come up with something for Sunday.

We need to go to renfest. Before it's over. But not too far before, because the last weekend the sword shops are halfprice and they have giveaways.

Why does the desk bruise my elbows?

Why does Melanie Weisner want me to critique her college essays?

Why do I like rocks so much?

Why do I like rocks so much?

Perhaps because they have no delusions of granduer. They stand steadfast and do not lose focus on who they are if they become crushed or manipulated. They are the story tellers of our Earth and speak with precision and truth. They seek neither inclusion nor individuality. They stop movement and absorb the pressure of existence.

Or maybe just because you like the way they skip across the water on cool autumn day, and how they challenge you when you climb your way to the heavens.

Nah, I think maybe I like them because they're pretty. When I say rocks, I mean... amethyst, tourmaline, rhodochrosite, peridot... I'd call myself a rockhound, except I'm a cat. My reasons aren't that deep. The rocks I like tend to have delusions, or at least connotations, of grandeur. Though they don't seek it for themselves, I suppose you're right.
