Depressive day. Went to Alexander cause I forgot it was canceled. Listened to Mahler 9 before dinner. Heard the fate and doom of the world in summary from Salad after Klagende rehearsal. Oof.
Meanwhile, Stephan wants to get groups together to do random 20th century repertoire. It is very ambitious and admirable of him, but I am sure there must be some kind of organization for it already, aside from the composers' groups here. I should point him to the Foundation for Modern Music's website, and then recruit all of compclub to do this stuff with him. He's got grandiose aspirations... He wants to take it to high schools, maybe back to LA (he says his high school would pay). I'm all for it. Sounds like fun, and maybe we'd get our stuff performed, too. I just want to play cello in the Unanswered Question.
