the begining of number 6 makes me cry... im not sure why, its very very simple
but i guess thats why... i guess thats how you capture purity or inosense or both or are they the same thing?
yes.. most of the liturgy dies me by its simplisity and some very unimaginably (unless your listening to it) cool chord changes and of coarse king's college with it's over-dramatic-saprano's and its awesome awesome basses, and soloist(s) and oh my god its all so amazing and im just going on and on and on and on but it dserves such asdpfo uijasdpog uanpfdgu apfgu napsfdu gnstuff
i seem to think of the liturgy, in contrast to the vespers, as the pastells... the atmesphere of love and pain and buety, aposed to the still-simple-but-more-engaging vespers which just rule the world of sacred rach
ahgggggggggg it's all so great. i hope for my score soon. isnt the scriabin gorgouse? both of them. there rach-e
The Scriabins are Rachy. I think what's so amazing about the King's College sopranos is that they're really not as dramatic as they would be if they were women. It's the absence of all that self-centered melodrama you find so often in sopranos that makes it so pure and innocent, the pastels, yeah. And Vespers is like its cover. How much sacred Rach is there and why aren't there more performances of it? AGH
I can't believe we get to do a cd with pieces of Vespers on it. I really, reallly, really hope we get to do 6 and 7. Once we're any good, I will sneak you in as a prospective tenor, so you can hear a 150-person chorus doing it live, because there's not going to be a performace for the cd music.
