Yes, it was eye-blindingly crimson and shockingly pink today at school, but I set it off a little with my black and green leather. So ha. The connotations of the day were largely irrelevant to me this year, as I've been off sugar since New Year's, and the object of my affection (almost two years now)is probably oblivious. It was just a normal day, maybe a little more hyper than usual. I shan't go into the agony of my loneliness, since the only people who could remedy it likely have other, more pressing things to do. Anyway, Madrigal Dinner is tomorrow night and Saturday night, and I hope to Light that they've bought their tickets by now. I'm looking forward to it, mainly because they're coming. Or maybe not. I haven't heard. Ah, but I hope so, with all the hope that I've ever manufactured.
The thing is actually quite interesting. The director/coordinator accepted my watermark for the programs (small glow of pride), and I'm gonna sell amulets at a booth in the Emporium. Once the dinner starts (stew in a bowl made of bread, some fruit, and tea we call ale), the performances also begin, around 7:00, I think. There's a Renaissance dance, a theater skit, and a chorale, I think, with Madrigals interspersed throughout. And then the Joust (stick horses and plastic swords, but its hilarity makes up for its lack of authenticity). I just hope my Catch duty doesn't interfere with my booth duty. I'll be sporadically getting up to wander around singing with a small group during the first hour and a half the booths are open. It'll be fun (I'm not being sarcastic, there, if you couldn't tell).
In other news, I've come almost to idolize Swiftpaw for her intelligence and lack of shallow opinions. Although, I did expect something a little more profound from her afterlife essay. Ah, well. I'm hoping to remember my own rants (most of them are mental, and so thorough that I can't recall them later) to record for others to scrutinize. But it's only gratifying if there's feedback. *cough*Ally*cough*Legend*cough*
