The conductor for LotR, as Darla so aptly put it, is Kevin Bacon in Flashdance. Down to the color and tightness of t-shirt. And he is fairly swoopy, but also clear. I like him. The children's chorus is doing much better, though they still need some drilling (as do we). Their soloist, a girl, has a very nice boysop sound, though she needs to get over her sausaging and nerves before Thursday. I don't like Carolee's sound, and I don't know why they picked her for the mezzo solo, because she didn't even audition. Po is all right, but apparently Matt was better for the baritone solo.
