After a late-afternoon/evening of Vietnamese-sandwich-hopping downtown with Dan (he wanted Asian, and he's into Trying New Restaurants), we settled down at his house to work (him) and play (me). We watched the new Sherlock, which is awesome beyond my ability to explain (so I'll let Sam do it). I ate some cheese and gave feedback on some book designs Dan was wrestling. Dan did some code.
Joodles got done with his loathesomely long archi workday around 10, did some exercsise, and we adjourned to my house to do some music around 11. I got some more harmony out of him for Sally's Song, and we identified a flaming need in both of us to do a cover of The Moody Blues' Story In Your Eyes. So we will do that. Someday soon when he is not dead of exhaustion from putting together file cabinets all day. I know, you say, what kind of job is that for a member of an architecture competition project design team? The thing is, he was putting together virtual file cabinets. In the computer. In the model of the building they're rendering. What's worse than putting together real file cabinets all day? Installing tiny fake computer model file cabinets in the representation of a ferry terminal for scale. He says it's not always like that, though. He does enjoy the job. Heh.
