In reaction to the standard of consistent perfection employed by the King's Singers regarding tuning, blend, and ensemble, I hereby declare my intention to be that good someday, in the company of other people that good.

Maybe I'll combine the study of voice and linguistics somehow and create a new field and be a big shot, so I can attract other big shots to the ensemble. It'd be a better excuse to wander around the world looking for compatible people, anyway. Or maybe I'll go to grad school for ethnomusicology and get a huge prestigious scholarship to wander around the world collecting linguistic and musical data on random interesting cultures.

It's amazing the ambitions one album of competent singing will give me after a three-hour rehearsal of incompetent singing (and directing).
