I feel so much better about certain scenes and am still worried about others. Kind of like people. Very drunk cast after rehearsal tonight. I drove us to Chapultepec, CVS and back to my house and managed to make a fool of myself only in driveways and parking lots. I don't know; is an inexperienced driver better than a drunk one? I hope so.

Dan's a friendly drunk. He tells stories. It's pretty entertaining. I was sleepy when it started, though, and probably hysterical by now, so maybe it wasn't as funny as it seemed at the time. Diego's right: someone should videotape it.

Another runthrough tomorrow. Maybe I'll have energy then. Seems unlikely.

Man, I hope I've gotten better since last year.

Foo upon the world. I've been dropped from the Verdi. I mean, I understand, because I'd be missing three concerts, a piano rehearsal and an orchestra rehearsal if I did it, but I'm still sad. It was the first thing they did when my mom got in, and I've wanted to do it in Jones Hall since then. Here was my chance. Oh, well. It comes up pretty often; maybe next time I won't have a concurrent show.

Oh, shards, it's going to be a long day. I can't even remember if I've done Au Bord de l'Eau in studio yet. If I have, I'm going to look like a pretty awful slacker when I don't have anything else yet.

At least I have two hamburgers with avocado and cheese. They taste good.

Odd. I'm much less sleepy after studio today. It was fun. I was told basically to stop singing hard things that people don't like and grow an ego to sing beautiful things and become a commercial success. I'm all for that, man. I love Tom. I'm going to steal Dan's song.
