Registration puts me in Theory and Aural Skills until I can pass out of them and take two Linguistics classes instead. Otherwise, there's Music History from Medieval to the Renaissance, voice lessons, Chorale, Piano, Shepherd Singers, Latin B, and the only physical education course that would fit in my schedule was weight training. Oh, boy. How productive. I want to learn something in PE, foo on it. Like, fencing. Or swing dancing. But noo, those are all during chorale or singers.
I sang Rach today in studio, but I had practiced it too much right before, so it wasn't as good as it could have been. But I do have it memorized now. So I thought about things after studio, lying on the walls in front of Shepherd, between the urns full of plants. I tried to write, but everything that came from the pencil had been said before, in exactly the way I was trying to say it, because there really are _no words to explain/express_ _how much/deeply_ I _feel/want/give_ _everything/anything_ because _I/everything I have/what's mine/what I can give_ is _nothing/not enough/hopeless_. Look, an amalgam of all the sappiest pop songs ever! Who knew they had some basis in reality?
I can't exactly do
NaNoWriMo with that, but should I just come up with something and do it anyway?
Aidan's lecture-recital was today, after my moping on the entry steps. The best mezzo (probably the best singer, period) in the school did an explanation and performance of Schoenberg's Hanging Gardens song cycle. It was tremendous.
Night of Decadence is tomorrow at Wiess. Luckily, I will be off campus in order to avoid all the drunk naked teenagers.
Sunday is Halloween. Hopefully, something will happen. The modified Renn plans are for next Saturday, but if anyone can come at all on the actual 31st of October, not even too late (hopefully it will be dark early) after you have finished all your crazy work... that would be cool, and we would have fire and there are pumpkins at Jones.
