I think the parade of relatives may have exhausted itself for this segment of the summer.

Andy and his daughter Katy came by last night to crash, and we compared laptops (upon which, by the way, I am typing this). She's grown a little since the last time he managed to bring her by in spite of her insane obstructive mother. She liked the puppies and kittens.

LotR! Tonight. As a symphony, it frankly sucks. There are about six themes which are (awesomely, charmingly, creepily, swoopingly, whatever the situation calls for) reorchestrated over and over and over (for two hours) and never developed. However, as movie music it is superb, and the huge projection screen hanging above the orchestra ought to distract the audience from the theoretical mediocrity (and it's not really going to be the usual audience, either).

I currently have 1.2 days of music on my computer, since discovering the fact that I can copy cds onto it. And these are only my VERY very favorite cds. Rach, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Brahms, Boston, Limpopo, Saint-Saens, Britten, Bernstein and all that.

And now we have a trampoline. It works very well. Boing.
