It was Physics day at Astroworld today. So, after conducting, in which we heard the three different versions of Barber Adiagio for Strings we get to choose from (bias! bias! vocal! vocal!) to conduct, Jason drove me to Astroworld. Jason. Ha. The Racecar Mechanic. We only hit 90 a couple times on the way there, 110 on the way back, weaving through traffic. It was fun, in a thoughtless kind of I'm-going-to-die-having-fun way.
Astroworld was actually slightly less fun. The rides seemed tame. We did our four labs with the remainders of our respective groups, then Jason took me back to school (stopping at home on the way and meeting the kittens and dogs and house; he seemed impressed). And then.
Apparently three of the important vocalists can't do the opera. Tony and I have done some frantic rearranging, so it ought to be all right, but we'll see.
Life during ninth period was actually quite a relief from some of the stress... Mr Morales played through Reggie's piece for the first time, and we were both completely amazed at how well he reads and how perfectly he interpreted it... he sounds almost exactly like Reggie plays it, except he can play the fast complicated parts... We were relieved, cause he hadn't looked at it and it's on Thursday. It's a cool song. And it's about good things.
And I am happy of knowing.
