Well, that was surprisingly fun. It was kind of a halfway Lanier class of 200 reunion, this National Merit Finalist presentation... I saw zillions of middle school acquaintances, and Jenny! Yay. I finally introduced her to Bryce (and also Andrew, cause he's cool). 4 out of 6 of the Del Rio people were there, all but JR and Cathy. Josh. Hmm. Talked to Marcus a tiny bit, met Jenny's apparently cool ex-history teacher, and was accosted by Nabil (who was there with friends, not having gotten a National Merit award) asking me if I'd go to M2M with him and Tony the day after. No. No shopping. But it was nice talking to Nabil.
Oh, and did I mention the food? Wow. Seriously. Hors d'oeuvres? Um, if you say so. Chicken strips, egg rolls, mushroom-and-onion paste (YUM), blackberries, RASPberries (YAAAYYY), and this incredible cranberry-mint drink with cranberry ice in it.
Nabil wants me to go shopping. He should know better. But I love this song. And some other things. I should finish Sathi's song.
