That was a very, very good recital. Dr Farwell's students, at Rice. I walked, since mama and Grandjo didn't get back in time to drive me, and I was very glad I went. Oddly enough, the best one was first. Chris Green sang this Weill song about I don't know what, in German. It's called the Bilbao song (mistakenly printed in the program as Bil Bao's Song), and it's hilarious. He was so cute! Talking to the pianist, to the audience, leaning on the piano, exclaiming passionately, dismissing amusedly... very very cute...
Having just looked it up, I find it's from Threepenny Opera, and usually sung by a girl... but Chris did it very well. Anyway. It was a good recital. I am very glad that I will be in the next one.
