On June 11th, the righteous wrath that is inborn in anyone of the Reynolds clan will descend on the idiotic policeman who sat in wait for an ambush at the school's cross street today. And with reason.
When Mama came to pick me up today, I was sitting, as usual, with several people (including India)outside the gate on the grass, waiting for her. She pulled up to the sidewalk, and I got up to get in the car, but she kept pulling forward, because the policeman was motioning her to. She got to the corner and had to stop, because of the buses in the street and the door opened so I got in. I then saw the gesticulating policeman, with his car in the middle of the two streets so the buses couldn't get by. He came over and told Mama she was illegally parked and asked for her driver's license and registration/insurance. She told him she wasn't parked, she was leaving when she stopped at the corner, and what did he think he was talking about? She gave it to him, and he pulled his car around behind us and parked BACKWARDS on the WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET, keeping Mama's license. He came back and they got into an argument about how we were NOT parked and EVERYBODY comes through here to pick up their kids, and HE was parked IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, and he mouthed yellow protests about how a kid almost got hit at the beginning of the year and he's just doing his job and it's like this every Monday when he's here (it's Wednesday) and if the other policemen weren't doing their jobs then that was their problem. She explained politely that that was stupid, and I added some bits, and he asked if she wanted a supervisor. Yeah, we did. So he called one, and went back and sat on the door of his car. We sat there, illegally "parked", for 20 minutes, and a supervisor came and she blew up at them both, and now we have a court date for June 11th. We'll get 'em.
In other news, I have commissions for wire things. Yay.+
