It's amazing what lying in a tree for half and hour with a gardenia in one's hair can do for state of mind. I was all tangled up in aborted creative attempts (my opera has lain languishing long enough), and I actually took my cello out, played everything I knew on the piano, and some stuff I didn't know, and notation just wasn't working, so I went outside. Rocked in the windy tree, with great back support. Try it sometime. Magnolias are especially nice.
