The day goes so fast when you don't have anything you don't want to do!
It was a grey day today, a day on which I had only music classes, and the last one was Composition, in a practice room with no teacher, and Reggie came and played the fourhands piece he wants me to learn (he has to finish writing it down, though) and then I made him play another one of his that I absolutely adore and want a copy of when he finishes it... it reminds me of a combination of Rach, Beethoven and Chopin, with maybe a little melodramatic Orff or Verdi... Anyway, he played that and then a Poulenc fourhands concerto he's learning, and AAHH...
And then I had to run away to Rice even though I wasn't in the rehearsal, but the guys are much less fragmented now and less behind... I love that piece. And Julia gave me a ticket to Jenufa, and Wes gave me another one, so my mom and I can both go! Tonight! Jubilatur in excelsis!!
