More school entries. This time it's Chamber Singers where she let us have the period (we don't have to rehearse real hard to sing at the Children's Hospital, they'll love us no matter how awful we sound). I finished my Merchant of Venice Act II study questions (fun), so I came here again. And again, I wonder at my true composition. I've been determinedly feline all my life, and I'm not going to throw that all out the window, but maybe I'm Awakening to something else.
The Gryphon thing only strikes me really hard for the flight ability. And the scaly talons. I have a thing for casually intimidating defenses (hence the toothy grins all the time). I also really like scales. Anyone who has seen the majority of my drawings will attest to that (though I haven't yet learned to draw the types of scales I like best). I am also into the wisdom/eloquence kick. I'd love to be able to pontificate at length on some obscure subject which only my peers in ancient lore can follow. I also hoard. Nobody has seen all of my rocks. Nobody has seen all of my mother's rocks. She says she would be a tiger, too, if she couldn't fly (that was her first priority). In Lake Jackson the other holiday, they were deciding what kind of dog everyone would be if we were dogs. David was a Springer, Joy was a field spaniel, Mama was a Weimaraner... they couldn't decide for me because they had "cat" so deeply ingrained. I even threw them a couple suggestions, and they disagreed. Interesting.
I am a cat. That much I know. But am I really sure what kind? Maybe I'm more than that. Maybe I'm something I've never heard of. I just really want to fly, and I have a whole lot of characteristics I haven't been able to independently associate with felinity, from myself. Rooocks. And caves, and forests, and caves in forests, and gems and jewels. I have to do more research. Feedback is helpful.
