The rehearsal was tolerable (some of the music is fun.... Lion King, mostly). The Britten is beginning to sound like a piece instead of a bunch of random notes. You all should listen to it. It's quite moving, when it's done well (which we're nowhere near, but...). I'm sorry to miss the Saturday rehearsal for District auditions (though not as sorry as I could be, because Salad's off in Amsterdam for that one).
Afterwards, we went to Katz's for Scott's farewell dinner (he's been getting them for two weeks, but we had to have an HSC one). He's going off with the Peace Corps to be a HS math teacher in Malawi.
Salad did not mention his illness, other than that it's not gone. I am worried. I didn't get to talk to him by himself (I don't think anybody else knows).
