Good Friday service at noon today was... something. I'm never sure how to interpret my emotional response to the theatrical presentation of religion. It was a good show, for a church, and it was a good piece of religion, for a piece of theater, but it wasn't great on either side. I do like it when all the lights are off, though. Something about the huge dark church is appealing.
And then this evening was the dress rehearsal for Sonja's feminist easter show. It was on the radio yesterday, which was weird to listen to, after having done the recording Wednesday morning in the fancy pants KUHF studio. It went better than I remembered. It should be up at the Front Row page by now.
After coming back from the slightly incompetent but not entirely unproductive rehearsal, I set to transcription, and can tentatively say I've finished the Bohemian Rhapsody arrangement. For now.
We'll see how it goes on Monday.
But first, tomorrow! A show/meditation thingy, then a service in the dark. Then two services on Sunday with the brazier at church they call the Holy Hibachi. And then work on Monday, and then finally chamber choir rehearsal.
I might not even have time to eat a chocolate bunny this Easter.
