Renfest, I think, can be counted successful no matter the haul or even the outcome of the day, as long as you see a Tartanic show. We saw two and a half. Adrian was on top form, the jokes were still funny the third time, and nobody can sit there at a pipe and drum show without feeling at least a modicum of headbanging inclination. It rocked. And I got their new album.
Also, tiny bottle (not on a string this time), new tail (old one disintegrated), and half Dan's excellent Polish lunch (not on a stick, but still tasty).
As if the day weren't excellent enough, when we got back (after admittedly dull traffic, during which we played the Tartanic cd as loud as possible with the windows open, so, after all, not so bad), we met Reggie at Chipotle! And then I went to his house to record before I leave for Boston and he was on fire, RIGHT with the metronome and everything! I just. Love. This song. And he likes my latest effort. So, success!
