O birthday. You were nice. Dan brought two rhubarb pies to work (I think I probably ate an entire pie). We came home with half of one. Mama gave me an absurd amount of presents, including candles, precious stones and a quesadilla maker, all guaranteed hits. Dan made me chicken tikka with the spices he brought back from India, and killer cauliflower (one was purple), and a ghost pumpkin that we saw when we went to Kroger for the cauliflower. I named it Mark.
Dinner was smashing, especially as Brent joined us by Skype for his own dinner, and Joodles arrived fashionably late with a copy of the Avengers DVD for me (which, ironically, was the only thing I'd actually asked for for my birthday, and which my mom had ordered but it hadn't arrived). I may have jumped around squeeing for awhile.
I made everyone watch Blue Song TWICE because I love it so damn much. Mama also got a cheesecake of many colors, all of which were good.
I ate some more chicken this morning, and all the rest of the cauliflower for lunch.
Now it's time for Joodles's birthday tomorrow, and he'll get the rest of the giant batch of cookies I made day before yesterday for his and Stephan's birthdays (shush, I made them on the 3rd, they count as birthday cookies for Stephan).
My best friend from first grade, with whom I stayed best friends throughout elementary school, has a birthday today. But he apparently does not want to get in touch with me because I friended him about two years ago and he has not yet responded. Happy birthday anyway, Levi. Hope it's a nice day in Santa Monica (wonk wonk, all days in Santa Monica are nice, of course it'll be a nice day).
