Hm. That was an exhausting rehearsal, and I wasn't even called till about 8. Before I actually had to do anything, I burned up a lot of energy containing my exclamations as I watched Diego and Hayley learn the most pants-wettingly awesome dance in the show. And then I had to learn my own dance for Show You A Thing Or Two, which, though short, is pretty tiring when you do it enough times in a row to almost-learn it. I think people went out after rehearsal, but I gave up after asking for a ride, and walked home. I forgot how much shorter the way seems when I have my mp3 player.

I'm going to save the few staying-up-late credits I have left for tomorrow night, which is the first runthrough. And then apparently a party. Perhaps I can contain my insufferable knowitall and be worthwhile company. I'm not feeling like much of a socialite at the moment, though it may be because tonight's rehearsal and people's circumstances surrounding it were grueling enough to make Hayley grumpy, Dan whiny, and Diego taciturn. It was still fun.

Parker, on behalf of his director, has offered me a role in the Martel musical Return to Forbidden Planet, which is in April. The first readthrough was missing four major characters because it was during a Bat Boy rehearsal and three are in Bat Boy and one dropped out, and that's the one he thinks I'd be good for. It's a male robot. I'm intrigued, but I'd have to know about the commitment and the scheduling and, um, the music.

i think that grumpy hayley is fun to watch, though.

and i'm excited for the run of the show tomorrow, even though i'm also petrified people will have forgotten everyting i've told them. nonetheless, we will persevere and fun will be had tomorrow night.

Yep, a male robot. Sorry I don't have much more info than that.
But trust me -- it's gonna be a lot of fun.
