Man, the way things are going, my life is going to be empty and purposeless when the show is over. People at Shepherd who hear things about it keep exclaiming about how excited they are to see it, and Dan and I exclaim how they couldn't possibly be as excited as we are, because it's So. Cool. And So Much Fun.
Yeah, I'm done with the wallowing in angst. It was the right kind of day today. It reminds me of the idyllic summer I took AP Goverment at Rice, walking there and home for lunch and back and home again. Lunch, lazy and hot and humid and perfect, with poetry and IMing and continuous Led Zeppelin, lasted forever. Time slowed down during the right part of the day, and flew by during class. Walking alone in the heat-shimmering verdancy of campus solidified my resolve to go to Rice. For someone with my climatic and (usual) solitary preferences, it's paradisical. Even the slight discomfort of the pebbled sidewalks is a perfect foil for the grass that squelches and sticks to the calluses on the bottoms of my feet. I can almost hear the air.
