This was all here, all the time, and I desperately want to go find it. I need some transportation. Perhaps Robert will know something, carpet-armored fighter as he used to be. I also found this. I am so going to be Earth's Aragorn. I will know things.

I've been tapped for a $50 Eve service tonight. Rehearsal starts at 4. I was going to work more on Dan's present. Oh, well. Maybe there will be fire. The music should be better than usual, at least.

Most of the presents are wrapped. This is highly disturbing, it being 2:00 in the afternoon. But we left a few for when we get to Lake Jackson, because we can't remember whose ears are pierced and what movies Grandjo has. It will be odd to see cousins' kids. The next generation is upon us. I'm already jealous. Children are the future; I didn't want to grow up. I still don't. If I had anything worthwhile to teach, and if I were a better teacher, I would take a very young protege; not for his or her benefit, because I am not that selfless, but for mine. I would have a palpable influence on something, and I would have changed something.

The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. I have a feeling I am going to spend a lot of time in the library next semester. Not for class, though. I just want to know things. It's a pity the things I want to know don't coincide with my classes, but there it is. I can't take enough classes.

Tavaril still likes me, despite the fact that I don't know anything. He's a dork. He falls down a lot.

I'd like to learn Old English too. It seems a good language for random conversations in public and in which to write songs.

Songs, oh, the songs... I refer you to the post in which I rhapsodized about the performance of Beowulf's first 900 lines entirely in Old English with surtitles and a lyre... I think the bootleg I made of it is still here (http://uncertainoutcome.org/unrelated/Beowulf.MP3)

I doubt it will. But if you ever hear that Benjamin Bagby is coming to town, be prepared for superawesomeness.
