Well, it was interesting. The metalworking class (which is nicely small, me and one other girl) started off with us arranging pieces of wire nicely on a copper sheet and putting it in a hydraulic press to mash the copper so it'd have depressions where the wire was. I now have two Ailurian seals. Then we sawed a strip of copper off a sheet and filed it until it was smooth, and filed the ends so they were rounded. They're gonne be bracelets with silver inlay in stamped words. I can get a lot of the Catian characters out of the English ones they have, so give me some suggestions.. I'm thinking Fire, Ailuria, Kiranle'ara, or something unexpectedly non-mystical, like fuzzy... but not fuzzty.

The dyeing class was fun, too. I wonder why everybody else was so slow? Heather S-something from Lanier had even dyed her own dresses and taken classes at Glassell, but I finished tying five pieces before anybody else did two. I'm gonna have a Four Elements series of big handkerchiefs (altar cloths or candle-cloths), and a 45" x 36" purple and green snakeskin-pattern cloak. I'm happy. Tomorrow is glassworking, which oughta be interesting, and ceramics, which isn't really a class because there's no one else in it. But I can hang out and do clay with the teacher (he was wearing a Superman shirt today and boy, Lois, watch out or you'll leave him!). The registration lady asked him and he said, sure, he'll take one. I'm looking forward to it.

My legs ache! and my back, and my shoulders... I spent all the time from when I came home until now, in the garage-apartment, finishing the pink headdress and necklace, with beads!. They're pretty cool, and I figure they oughta snag $100 or so. I hope to get rid of them soon. Owow, acheache. We must schedule another productive convention! How's next weekend? Or even one of these afternoons?

Huzzah!!

Huzzah! The pink wire has been put to use.... ^_^ I'm glad to see it finished. Just read about all your classes.... they sound great, you're definitely in your element ^_^ The search for a secondary wire supply continues. Michaels came up a bust, but I'm hoping Hobby Lobby will yield better results. Have fun in your creativity(and I must see these Ailurian seals ^_^)
