The Thor epic was a hit. People are still commenting. I am moderately proud of it, for something I spent a little effort and a lot of enthusiasm on.
What I am more proud of is what Andrew, Reggie and I accomplished on Saturday: we finished Genocide. It's fantastic. And Reggie laid down vocals on Runaway. Also fantastic. We cleaned Genocide up and got a little way through Backstage of the Universe on Monday night (with Reggie there, too), but Andrew took the parts home to practice them, because they're not utter simplicity (though he assures me they're not impossible). He's coming back Friday night to do those. And we discussed Band Things. We're actually Being A Band. We might even play out! But first I hop the pond for a month.
I hope. I am, at this point, worried about tickets. But I am assured it will work.
Maybe by the time I get back (from a workshop with ALL THE KING'S SINGERS AHHH), the boys will be ready to play at Avant Garden or Fitz's or something. Stephen says he knows how to book there, and he'd be our default drummer.
PROGRESS.

Speaking of which, I stayed up too late last night watching the filibuster on the Texas Senate floor and then the fallout after midnight. What a thing. I got pretty shaky. And then this morning DOMA was struck down! But yesterday the VRA was gutted. It's been an intense couple of political days. I'm grateful to have friends on my feeds who know what the hell is going on, because otherwise I wouldn't know where to look.
