Reggie came over for the first time in ages, and it was joy. Not only did we record a lot, we listened to things from high school and were impressed anew with his absurd virtuosity back in the day. There was True, and Minor Third Etude, and e, all of which I want to somehow transcribe and adapt into singable things, because they are SO GOOD. Though I dunno if he'd want to learn to play them again.

He finished his Disappear vocals (and I redid my backups to fit yesterday): http://soundcloud.com/rionsanura/disappear-demo

He also recorded his backups on Rain, which marks the first collab he's done on one of my songs. I need to get some string players and finish that up. And maybe call the drummer I know. And the clarinetist, for Archive (and the trumpet, and the guitarist, and the bass clarinetist, and see if I can find a bassoon player, and maybe Simon my amazing bassist and my biggest regret about leaving Boston).

Tomorrow morning the jet to Roanoke departs and the week of Xenharmonicity commences. It seems like hardly anything stuck in my brain from last year, and this year the focus is on an unfamiliar tuning (porcupine), but at least there'll still be Just Intonation Praxis choir. I love that stuff. Maybe I should do a little JI multitrack to start with. There is that canon from last year. The sheet music is even still on the floor of my room, so I don't have to remember it.
