Tony, who follows me to all places, on the large and small scales of relativity, drove me to the teahouse on Shepherd to see Nabil for the first time in what can almost certainly be legitimately counted as at least five years. Nabil's personality has settled down a lot. Law school probably has a grounding effect. It was genuinely enjoyable to sit (or stand, once the teahouse closed and took away its outdoor furniture) around and talk to him for a couple hours. We caught up quite a bit. Such a nice kid.
But now I am back. After a full day of working on assembling the materials for my CalArts application, I am now... assembling them. Hopefully I can put them in the mail tomorrow, because Jan 5 is not the postmark deadline, it's the receive-by deadline.
