This was a weekend of Getting Stuff Done In Time to Do Cooler Stuff.
I finished my Ethno paper so I could go to metalworking class today. I went about two hours early to print the directions and ticket so I could sit in a nearby Dunkin' Donuts and do a prelim test for an online job I applied for, among other responsible preparatory actions. Class was introductory, but we got to handle the tools, which I love, and get all dirty in a warehouse that smells that great smell of ozone and steel slag. Man I love metal. Gotta figure out what project I'm gonna do.
I'd forgotten that the buses run much less often on Sundays, but my luck was good and I didn't have to wait too long to get one to Tufts to hang with David to finish our World Music ensemble arrangement. Dude, Tufts is as loaded as Rice, but with a more efficient equipment-procuring staff. They have a computer lab with about 15 workstations, each with an iMac hooked up to a USB keyboard, some of them 88-key. Imagine what NEC kids could do with a lab like that.
And then I was offered Eternal Life as a free gift by some evangelists in the T station on my way home. I have enough peace and love and joy, thanks.
And now there's stew! and CHEESE! I am eating it.
