It snowed steadily all morning and then started drizzling. The world is full of crunchy, slidy, splashy cold. The air is at least not biting, but this vague resentment rumbles up in the back of my mind every time I see the snow. It's no good, sitting there on the sidewalks marking all the pedestrians' paths, lying in the gutter retaining all the grit and oil and dirt and dog messes. Water rises, cleans things and drains off, it doesn't accumulate and multiply visible dirt. Stupid snow.

First class was at noon, so I walked through it and went to Botolph to see Hallmark and discuss the hidden culture and performative practices of courtesans throughout the ages and geography. Looks like it will be awesome, though the bookstore doesn't have the book yet.

I also went to the library and finally got copies of the concerts I was in last semester. In the process of listening, evaluating, and posting.
