I told Stephan I didn't know how we'd have the good-luck dress-rehearsal trainwreck, because I thought we were in such good shape. Shows what I know. Dumb things happened, and it was good that they happened tonight, because that makes it much less likely they will happen tomorrow. It was long, and I lost a few more clothes than usual, but apparently that's okay and we're keeping it that way. We really should have a makeup light backstage, but we can't. It's lit by two red exit signs. I can't see to wipe his face, so Dan will have blood on his face at inappropriate times, or be inappropriately flesh-colored instead of pale.
In any case, almost everything still rocked.
I really wish I could go to Mai's or Chapultepec with people, but I was already an hour late for work by the end of rehearsal. I'm so glad this job has flexible start/end times. They're letting me off about three hours early tonight, I think, so that I can go sleep before opening night. I have to fix my Ling paper and do the reading, and then I will be home free till the next Theory assignment is due.
In extremely exciting news (to me, anyway), the mail came at lunch and the London Cast Recording of Bat Boy was in it! Ee! Also fairly pleasant news, I just received two checks from the Thresher; one for all last semester's back pay ($360.71), one for all this semester's back pay ($118.19). And there's another one coming on Friday, for I don't know how much.
In any case, la! I will eat the tops off of pizza and then unMusify my Ling paper.
ETA 2:42am: Unmusification accomplished. Now to read.
