I was pleasantly surprised by the Italian Diction consultant who had a master class today instead of our regular studio. She was hilarious and sweet, calling everyone cara or caro, and very good at her job. I'm glad I had that experience.

I zoomed from studio to Martel to meet with the director of this mysterious musical, and read some lines for her. She'd come to the concert on Tuesday, so she didn't have me sing, but I explained I don't sing rock that way and she seemed to believe me. She explained the premise of the musical; it's sci-fi in iambic pentameter, based on The Tempest, with oldies songs. I couldn't be further intrigued if someone had written a play specifically for me. There's a rehearsal on Sunday I can come to. It will be interesting.

Tonight's the first full runthrough of Bat Boy. Dan and I ran through it as far as we could get during lunch, and made a few breakthroughs I think will definitely help our love story. I'm scared of all the dancing, but there are still no words to express how much I am looking forward to this rehearsal. And then there will be a party afterward. I wonder how that will be.
