It is fun. There is tremendous music. Mama is, once again, not happy. I am happy, but not as much as last year. The best people didn't come. I miss them, even on top of missing Houston people.

However, good music. I brought my tiny recorder, so we can have an idea of what it all sounds like before the cds come (a year later).

So far: Big Group piece: Cluck Ol' Hen, an Appalachian SATB/violin piece. Small group pieces: SSAATTBB Beatles' Goodnight, terribly sweet, almost cry-worthy. SATB Swingle arrangement of Well-Tempered Clavier Bk. I Prelude XXII. Kinda cool, actually. Breakout groups: Venezuelan composer doing Arabic environmentalist chants. Very HARD. And cool. Group member Christian Smythe's SSAT arrangement of Irish folktune My Lagan Love. SOoooo gorgeous. And I have the melody. Bwaha.

Library closing; more later.
