Back. Grant gone. Will miss hairplaying till next week. Off to LotR rehearsal. Hopefully not sacked for missing piano rehearsal. Good for 23rd.
Mmmm sap. I am one. I still love the LotR music, even if the people are getting to be hazards to my peaceful state of mind. The conductor is a highly amusing and highly competent Brit who had a stint at Rice, but the orchestra are all obnoxiously union members with their fifteen-minute break and lack of overtime, and missing the piano rehearsal gave Susan leave to be obnoxious about us singing the concert, saying "Some people are upset..." while mama's section leader freaks out and barely gives her the markings... I like the personality of my section better. Beth, Alice and that South African lady are all quite friendly and act as if I can take care of myself musically. Which, it seems, I can. Beth gave me the changed markings as we passed them, and suddenly I was the de facto leader of the sopranos.
Well, people are annoying, but music helps. As does the memory of my neck feeling better than it does.
Someday soon we must have an Uncertain Outcome + whoever viewing of a bunch of Highlander. I have all seven seasons now, and it is full of Queen.
