(no subject)

Tonight's was not the best gig in the world. My mom volunteered me for it in the middle of last week. I was not terribly enthusiastic then, and tonight my suspicions were validated. But I won't complain. It's over, and I haven't lost my voice. The hors d'oeuvres weren't bad, either. And the interruption it caused between the scenes of battle at Minas Tirith was overcome, and two hours of documentary followed. Billy Joel and Paul Bettany may rule my world, but Tolkien owns it.

Mama's birthday is tomorrow. Do we just show up at the racquet club?
