There's a modern music concert here on Friday at 8. There's a violist's master's recital on Saturday at 5:30, and she's playing cool stuff. Our Vivaldi Gloria/Rossini Stabat Mater (it's not that bad) is on Monday at 8. Tuesday the Tokyo String Quartet are playing (there's Haydn, but there's also Janacek and Beethoven E minor) and I can get free tickets. Wednesday Ben Kamins, Scott Holshouser (SCOTT! YAY) and some random really good wind players are doing Hindemith Kleine Kammermusic (wind quintet), French stuff for bassoon and piano, including Ravel, Pierne, Bourdeau, and Bitsch. Oo. too much stuff in a row. But the one I'm really looking forward to is 5:30 the day before my birthday, the most resonant bass I ever head has a master's recital and he's singing Schubert and RACH!

Annd one more has been exposed to the glory that is Pirates. Tony dropped by, and it was revealed he hadn't seen the first half, so I showed it to him by force (along with deleted scenes, blooper reel, and the easter egg of Keither Richards).

Voice lesson was productive; apparently I am to sing both Cherubino arias. Hurrah for pants roles.

Klagende Lied tonight. Yay. But I am going to freeze because my sweater smells like smoke and I have not done the laundry.
