Car. A lot. But now we're in Pennsylvania. Spent a night in a hotel in Ohio, and dreamt I was at my house with Reggie, and kept telling him "come here" and he didn't understand me, and it turned out I was meowing instead of talking, and he didn't get it. Night before that I dreamt Tony didn't say anything (yay) when I cut my hair in Missouri.

We spent about three hours trying to find this house (my dad's sister's house), driving up and down this small highway, asking neighbors, but the numbers all changed a year ago and nobody knew anything till we found somebody who actually saw their name on the mailbox. And then we got here and there was nobody here, so we sat in the driveway reading for several hours and listening to Gottschalk till the police came (they went away again; neighbors had called worrying about a break-in, despite the fact that we had told them who we were), and then finally Bianca (youngest cousin, my age) came home from work around 11. She's fun. We had eggs this morning, and their computer is on dialup, which is quite vexing, and mama still has to pay some bills, so I shall relinquish the computer now.

Having left my dad's sister's house around noon, we're not there anymore. We've been through every cd I brought, in the car, except for the Joelle 18 colors one, because it's hard to listen to while driving... she had enough problems with the Rautavaara, since she was slightly sleepy at that point. I have not had to drive a single inch, so far. I navigated us through the rest of Pennsylvania and the smallish southeastern end of NY state, and we are now in Stamford, Connecticut at my dad's friend's studio (at which Meat Loaf used to practice, apparently). We spent an hour-ish helping some kid mix her album, and now we're crashing in the band/mixer bedrooms above the studio. It used to be a carriage-house... They've fixed a lot. I love studios. So much cool. Yes.

No, Tony, I've not cut my hair, though if you place so much importance on it I may yet, just to demonstrate irrevocably that pretty is not my aim in life. I have to waste another ten minutes every morning washing and putting my hair up than I would if it were short. However, since I was a girl at the last renfair, I will be one this year... wait, no! I will have my chainmail shirt done by then! Maybe I should cut it now, and be an archer! Oh, coooollll...

Anyway, Johnny's carriagehouse studio is excessively cool with a room full of mixing boards and flatscreen monitors and huge huge speakers, annnd he has a blob of power (AirPort base station) so my wireless works! I wonder if anyone is on... Oh, yes, and it's an hour later here than there, so I can even wait... Cool.
