It's amazing what can be accomplished if one has competent uncles.

Yesterday I went to composition club, and it was different. Avalon wasn't there, but this pianist lady was. She ran the meeting. I don't like her. She seems to be eccentric for the sake of being eccentric, and she doesn't listen when you tlk, and she doesn't say anything when she talks. Needless to say, we didn't accomplish much in the meeting, except after she left and Eden the violinist got there; we improvised over chord changes, which we'd never done before. It was anice change. Avalon likes chaos, and so do I, but structure makes things easier.
Then there was a Modern Music concert. It's interesting to compare opinions with a person whose opinions I respect. There's nothing like being shaken out of a rut by genuinely changing your mind.
