Finally called it a night for the card games... I got on the comp to see if anybody was still awake, but I've been occupied all day (otherwise I'd have been on sooner). The hysteria approached a level of humor I don't think I've ever seen from family before. Wow.

Robert's nickname for Allen has become Queenie-Baby, and Allen pulled a riposte out of nowhere and said, "All right, Butterpants?" They're exactly like the couples of tenors that will occasionally come out with the HSC crowd. It was funnier if you were there, I suppose, but the repartee between those two particularly was nearly HSC-quality, and not as forced because none of it was even remotely plausible.

This is the Coolest copper bracelet. I freely admit it's cooler than the one I made, by value of construction... snakey and beady and just oo.

And there was pie.

It's difficult to be articulate in this state of mind, in case you hadn't noticed.

I'm glad Allen decided to stay awhile instead of going with his dad and his sister Heather to the valley tomorrow. More time. Yay. Maybe we'll pile. We did some, but I miss the better ones. As I woke up this morning, the absence of any other form had me physically aching.

I'm so screwed for college, though... We'll see if I end up at HCC. As long as I get to the limited-entry Garza pool party this year.

Hmm, ended up staying up till 5:30. Slept till about 4:30. Still sleepy. But JOy came this morning. Maybe we'll make more knife today.

David's drawing (he's an architect), so we didn't make knife, but I spent a couple hours watching Marissa (Master's in Philosophy, teaching at Texas Tech) teach Michael (9) the fundamentals of logic (I helped). He learned more and did better in an hour than a lot of her students who supposedly had it in high school... Funfun.

Before that was a heated discussion between Gail and Robert, mostly, with interjections from me and Amy and Allen and occasionally Grandjo about the fallacy of race-based scholarships. Interesting. I ate pie.

Laa, why isn't anybody on? The computer's finally free because the Wurmy kids are playing Life (they just got it back from the store cause the one Eric got for Christmas was missing the cars and people and spinner).

Dinner yesterday is still in my stomach. Well, probably not, but I'm not hungry. It was good food. I love Christmas dinner. I have such a fun family. We sing grace before starting dinner (and at Thanksgiving, too), the doxology, I think... whatever it is, we're pretty good at it. Not al of us are musicians, but it sounds good, with relatively complicated harmony and everything. So... communal. Belonging.

Disjointedness. My face is so dry.
