Eventful coupla days, once again... condensed verion:
Spent Saturday night at Jenniffer's house with her large family (reminds me of mine; I like them a lot), finished Fight Club (good movie, yes) after seeing RotK (over which I cannot exclaim enough). I slept with her in the bottom bunk of her brother's bed in his room, him displaced to the top, her other brother on the couch in the living room. Her dad came in and tickled us awake at the ungodly hour of 9, proclaiming donuts, but we didn't get up till much later, listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin and fun stuff like that. That afternoon we went to her church for their bake-a-thon preparations, and I read a lot and massacred her brother Michael for turning off the lights and played the piano and listened to her other brother Marky play Stairway to Heaven on his guitar. Yes, I like her family. Her dad and his young brother (her uncle Ben, who reminds me of Allen) drove us to the short-notice Madrigal gig last night. It went surprisingly well, a house party, and we sang our best with four people (two tenors) missing. They came and shook our hands and told us how well we'd done. Waiting for Jenn's dad to come pick us up again, I hung out with Wes and Lumumba, and had fun intimidating the latter when he berated Wes for trying to "steal Tony's girl." I asked him if he wanted to repeat that, and he blathered on about how he was gonna tell Tony that Wes was all over me... it was amusing. I am nobody's, though I must admit it's been weird having all this fun without him. I made Lumumba repeat that I was my own, and he did and cowered, but was still yelling about telling Tony tomorrow when I got in Jenniffer's dad's car with her and her uncle again. We had to wait for the Einalem who was still in the house giving people her number. Jenn's dad took me to my mom at a party she'd sung octets, which also happened to be Christine and Michael Economides' house, where last year I was paid 20 dollars for manually cleaning all the leaves out of their pool and Christine taught me how to backdive. It was fun, but I was tired, so we went home pretty soon and crashed.
Tonight oughta be fun. Half the surviving vocal alumni of PVA seem to come to the Black Lab. I also told Salad, so he might make it. Looking forward to seeing particular people once more before real holiday starts. Dunno how I'll make it through a whole three weeks... But I will.
