As per tradition, we played cards till the hysteria was overwhelming.

NOT the same kind of cards as I play with HSC people. No. Liverpool rummy and Oh Heck and real, complicated games with rules.

So, we may stay tomorrow for awhile and mold a copper hilt for the ex-files (knives now). Or we may come home, to be shanghaied into shopping. Either way, it won't be before noon, cause I intend to SLEep. Snraaa.

Though, while taking the dogs out and down the road to the cul-de-sac, I did rather marvel at the deep deep darkness and many out-of-the-way places, not confined to a tiny practice room. With stars. Thus the mighty have fallen.

I worship molten copper. It is, unfathomably, an order of magnitude more beautiful than even glowing hot copper. I wonder if there's a table cataloguing the properties of molten metals? I've seen liquid steel and iron, and they're just glowy and opaque. Copper... Ahh...

It's reflective, and the slag burns green, so the flames from the torch glisten iridescent in the roiling pool... Reminds me to the myths describing the excessive glory of various gods who couldn't appear to their subjects (or objects of pursuit... think Zeus) or they'd blind the poor mortals. I still have a retinal afterglow (erm.. well, it's the right word for this experience) from looking at it, 15 minutes ago. But it's a friendly kind of brilliant, unlike the welding arc. I like fire a whole lot more than electricity, but both are fun to manipulate. I like making things.

Well, the clay mold for the kinfe handle is still too wet, so we'll do it later. I have cooled copper drops. Aa.
