Not even runner-up to concerto contest; but I knew that as soon as I got through the fifth measure of the audition. Oh well, I don't get to sing with the PVA symphony. They're playing B5, I learned today. I wish I was still playing with them. So coooool. B5 and Romeo & Juliet... wow.

I've gotten so attached to this grape story that I've actually done research for it. The Whore Babylon (she's really not the Whore of Babylon, because she IS the city, figuratively) dressed in purple and scarlet and had seven heads and ten crowns/horns, and a gold chalice filled with the abominations and unclean things of her immorality... she was called the Mother of Harlot, Harlot who Sits on Many Waters, Babylon the Great. Yep, that's me, except I'm calling myself after a different one, Delilah. Greg gave me the idea.

And then, I'd already decided to name everybody after some kind of form of the devil, and I'd already picked Asmodeus for minionling, and I found out it's of Persian origin! Aeshma, demon inspiring lust and unfaithfulness! How perfect.

Anthos, on the other hand, means flower in Greek. It's not particularly satanic, but I'm giving him Dionysus for a father, and any god who is not the Wun Tru God is per ipse a facet of the devil. So we're all the devil by proxy; me, the harlot, Tony, the heathen idol, Nabil, the pagan tempter. Now, where can I go with this that will bring some kind of plot and/or theme into play? I'm of course gonna do a subtle protest against narrowminded categorization, and I think t'd be cool just to have it as a vignette in the life of misunderstood but indifferent evil. EVOL is really not that different, and I certainly don't eat babies; you just don't want to watch us eat grapes.

I am so... not getting the right things done. The three essays I ought to write tonight languish in minimized Word windows while the monstrosity of grapes is fed to ever more bloated impropriety.
