Freakishly good day today. Loafed about at district auditions with no nerves, lying in an extremely comfortable two-person pile with Tony. Then mama took us to Clear Lake to the Dollar theater, and we saw Johnny English (which was not good, but sometimes entertaining, and we decided Pascal Sauvage is where Tony's going to end up in his age). After the end of that, we saw Bruce Almighty, in which Jim Carrey is possibly the cutest I've seen him so far. Better by far than the other movie. Very, very amusing, though Tony fell aslepp for 10 minutes (long day, lying about) because he'd seen it before.

And then! It's possible that his parents don't hate me or my mom anymore, because we took him home. My mom and his spent an hour talking and he showed me his house. It's Cool. Spoiled and rich he definitely is. And he has a circular hot tub. We'll have to make use of that, someday.
It looks like we're gonna make it to Renfest this year, and on my actual birthday, even. Then optional sleepover. Lots of candles, lots of Led Zeppelin, Rachmaninov Vespers, a possible movie or two, and introductions of one set of friends to the other. Hopefully some of you will like each other.

I can't swing everybody's tickets (I can barely get my own, with help from the dollar-pinning tradition of school), and I doubt we'll all fit in Mama's van, so anybody with helpful transportation options, come forward.

Costumes encouraged, almost mandatory. I have stuff, too, if you don't, both gender-options (I'm not cross-dressing this time, for the first time, since I have my madrigal dress). Comfy change/sleeping attire also. We'll probably stay up till all hours of the night and then stay as late into Sunday as possible. Ee. I dunno when we'll do the actual Jellicle Ball, as it's kind of Ailurishly private, but we'll see. Maybe I can pass it off as madly Bacchanalian dancing. Or maybe everybody knows me well enough not to care what it is.
Oh, I forgot to mention that yesterday, in addition to lying about next to nutcases I didn't know, one arrived whom I did know.

Anybody remember Erin Wall? She was in 7th grade when we were in 8th. She's part of the L Saga, and came to the last big birthday party I had (what was that, 14?). Poor girl. So insecure.

Also, Genevra who was a senior in my freshman year, in the poetry club, Genevra of the infamous Brett&Genevra, who gave me a really cool stone bead/ leaf-carving necklace, has a sister. She was there, and talked to Erin, which was convenient for distracting Erin from her apparently horrible audition.

I also met somebody named M-something, possible Madeline, who said she knew Mel M in middle school. Long, blonde, curly hair. In the alto II line next to me.
Pining? No. Not this time.
