He said it's probably nothing, and told me not to worry. I said it's hard not to.

He left as soon as Bill got there, cause he's well enough now to travel, and he's got to go to Lafayette in the morning. Bill brought a friend, who seemed quite drunk even before he got a beer. But he knew Led Zeppelin and Queen, which we ended up singing half the night. It's hard to sing them a capella. They're complicated and dense. We managed okay.

Mermel's leaving to be a math teacher for the Peace Corps in Malawi, Africa. He'll be gone in two weeks, and his birthday's in three, so we sang him an overblown HSC Happy Birthday with a high A, courtesy your resident Party Sop1 (I'm special now that Lisa has to go to bed early). Oh, in rehearsal there were enough As, B-flats, Bs, and several Cs to leave me nearly shot for the night, but I managed a last one for Scott's birthday song. I realized at the time that my birthday's also three weeks away. That's frightening. I'm going to be here, though, so they can sing it to me then.

Is it because I'm a senior that worthwhile people are suddenly interested in talking to and hanging out with me? Or have I just never had any friends before? I mean, I have friends. I don't see them very often, and they don't frequently go too far out of their way to see me, but I'd probably die for them. But now people, as in more than one person (and none of them is disturbingly obsessed, which has been the case both other times), seem to actually like me. Will wonders never cease?

Enterprise Season Premiere is starting out in an uncomfortably Star Wars direction. Still good, though. T'Pol has a sense of humor.

Jake 2.0 is an extremely cute show. It may become one of the few I go out of my way to watch.
