I swear, it goes slower and slower the closer you get to the end...

I saw Life of Brian for the first time last night. It's interesting, but I don't get all the fanaticism. Maybe they've built it up for me so much I'm just disappointed by comparison. Holy Grail was that way, too. I mean, it's good, and it's nice to recognize where all Andy's PowWow soundclips came from ("Where's the fetus gonna gestate, you gonna keep i' in a box?"), but... I guess I'm not a Monty Python fanatic. I liked the ensemble cast aspects (the same four guys in every scene), and it was cool to see those guys working together on their original stuff. Oh, I'd just watched A Fish Called Wanda, right before that, which I had also never seen, although I'd seen Fierce Creatures, which makes references to it.

Anyway. Cool. I need to finish floating my walls, but I need to do English more.

I must have been really beat at the end of the day in Stratford, not to have gushed more than I read I did after seeing Richard III performed by the freakin' RSC.

They were SO good.

Now, what brought this on was hearing an excerpt "performed" by really slow, hick-accented, grating voices in my ol English course. I can't believe how good the real thing is. This is so bad. Aaa. I need to act some more. I think I'm undergoing premature withdrawal, since I was given so small a dose of theater after so long a dry spell...
