Wow. I think I haven't been so muddy in years. Yesterday, David and I dug up a leaking pipe behind the poolhouse to fix it (obviously, the water welled up and made the mud that the puppies have been lying in forever. And the back of the poolhouse is about two feet away from the wall of the house. So it was kind of scquished, and all my extremeties fell asleep, and I got some cuts on my hands from digging blindly (shells?? oysters?! What are thse doing here?). My shoulders are sore from digging and my rear is sore from sitting on my heels and tensing. But the water is back on. It was kind of fun, other than the stomachache from heartnails (don't ask me how the two are connected; they just are). Gail's are in the next room watching Bill Nye, and my head is dull and full of Pathetique. I haven't progressed past the first two pages yet (do we see a pattern forming here?).

I'm almost done with the latest head-thingy. This one is much more detailed and intricate than any I've ever done before. There are ten spokes off the middle, and it's green and gold with quartz and agate wrapped symmetrically. I'm pleased. And I have a new watch mama got me, and it looks a lot like Allen's new one he was so excited about when we saw him up in Missouri. I'm glad. It reminds me of him, and he's cool, and I get good memories of trampoline-piling. Big warm firm people are good to lie on. Little ones aren't as good.

We finished watching Balto with the kids, and I was inspired to listen to the tape we made at Jellicle Ball. I couldn't tell if the kids thought it was real wolves/dogs or not, but they didn't say, so I thought it was pretty convincing. Has Nia listened to the cd I gave her?
